Since 1972, Domus has helped thousands of our region’s most vulnerable youth and their families experience success. Domus builds loving relationships with young people facing adversity, empowering them to pursue their path to self-sufficiency. Domus serves approximately 1,000 Stamford youth aged 12 to 25 who, at enrollment, are either disengaged or disconnected. They work with young people through their school engagement programs at the local Stamford high schools and middle schools, helping students acquire the social and emotional skills, attitudes, and habits needed to graduate high school and enroll and engage in post-secondary or obtain employment on the path to self-sufficient income, and through their workforce development programs where young people gain the skills necessary to obtain employment and avoid reincarceration. Other programs provide short term interventions to help young people learn new skills, improve attendance, gain academic skills, connect to resources in the community, and/or improve behavior. The vision of Domus is that no child shall be denied hope, love, or a fair chance in life. To learn more about Domus visit www.domuskids.orgREGISTER NOW
